We are working with an International Operating Oil and Gas Client, they are headquartered in Houston, Texas.

 

Our Client has an up and coming project offshore Colombia, they are looking for 4 Wellsite Geologists for an offshore drilling campaign.

 

Interested candidates must have experience of working in the Caribbean Sea.

 

The Wellsite Geologists will guide well operations decisions (casing point selection, mud weight selection, wireline logging intervals) and produce products such as daily geologic operations summary reports, management reports, updated pore pressure plots and predictions, geologic operations protocols and procedures (protocols for logging while drilling, wireline logging, mud logging, coring, etc.) and both “lessons learned” plus end of well reports

 

The Wellsite Geologists must have wellsite experience, responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, being a focal point for the Operations Geologists within the Client’s organisation regarding geoscience data acquisition activities occurring on the drilling rig (includes dissemination of information via daily teleconferences and via internet-based distribution systems), provide technical oversight, quality control and interpretation of geologic data being acquired by Service Company contractors (i.e. Mudlogging, LWD and Wireline Logging), participating with the rig based team conducting real-time pressure surveillance; participating in applicable meetings on the rig (i.e. daily drilling teleconference, safety meetings, tool box talks prior to geoscience data acquisition activities, tour meetings, etc.), identifying / documenting Lessons Learned, NPT and assisting with root cause analyses, reviewing Service Company invoices, contributing to Final Well Reports and deliverables; coordinating shipment of samples and final deliverables from Service Companies.
