Procurement Team Leader – PTL
The purposes of the Procurement Team Leader include but not limited to the following:
- Be single point responsible for all materials procured for the project team.
- To ensure timely delivery of all materials and equipment for the Project ensuring they meet the requisite standards.
- To provide discipline input as early as possible in the total procurement process in order to jointly develop with Detailed Design & Procurement contractor innovative strategies for the procurement of goods in order to maximise cost reduction whilst maintaining the required quality of standards.
- To ensure all tendering for materials is carried out in compliance with the business principles and financial regulations of the client.
- To provide an up-to-date schedule information of material delivery as input to various other departments in the project team.
- As a Team Leader to allocate resources as appropriate to meet the schedule of procurement activities.
- The position will be based in the Middle East although travel is expected.
Experience/Certificates/Competencies Needed:
- A Bachelor degree in Economics/business administration/Engineering or equivalent plus preferably membership of professional institution with at least 12 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership, negotiating and man management skills.
- Able to apply the Supply Chain Management tool to procurement issues.
